New Delhi: In wake of the rising cases of dengue in the national capital, the Delhi Government on Monday cancelled leaves of all doctors and para-medical staff. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday instructed the party MLAs to visit government hospitals and review the situations.
Earlier, the government had launched helpline number 011-23307145 to assist the dengue patients here.
The Central Government has also asked the Delhi Government to increase the bed strength in the hospitals and to initiate action against the private hospitals, which are over charging the patients.
The Delhi Government had issued notices to two private hospitals after the parents of a seven-year-old boy, who died of dengue on Tuesday, committed suicide as they failed to get him admitted to a hospital in time.

“The Chief Minister has instructed all the MLAs to visit hospitals in their region. The MLAs can go only to government hospitals,” Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain told reporters after the meeting of Rogi Kalyan Committee with Delhi Government officials.
“Seeing the recent spurt of cases of dengue, the Delhi Government has been told to increase the bed strength. At the same time, Central Government hospitals are underway to increase the bed strengths,” said Union Health Minister J.P.Nadda.
