New Delhi :Jai Parkash Dalal, the BJP leader from Loharu assembly constituency in Bhiwani district, is the richest minister in the newly formed cabinet of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
The Haryana Election Watch and the Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR) analysed 12 ministers this time against 10 ministers it had analysed in 2014.
Topping the list of crorepatis, Dalal has declared in his affidavit having assets worth Rs 76.75 crore.
As per the analysis, the ministers this time are richer than in the last cabinet. In 2014, only 70 per cent ministers were crorepatis. This time, however, all 12 ministers analysed are 100 per cent crorepati.
While the average asset of the current 12 ministers analysed is Rs 17.41 crore, the top three ministers with highest declared assets are Dalal, Dushwant Chautala and Ranjit Singh.
While Dalal has movable assets worth over Rs 20.05 crore, the immovable property in his possession is Rs 56.70.
Second rich minister in the ranking among the top three is Dushwant Chautala, Jannayak Janta Party leader representing Uchana Kalan constituency in Jind district. His assets are slightly less than Dalal.
Chautala’s total declared asset is worth Rs 74.77 crore. He has declared total immovable asset worth Rs 51.3 crore and movable asset worth Rs 23.47 crore.
Incidentally, Independent candidate Ranjit Singh representing Rania assembly constituency in Sirsa district, comes third in the ranking of top three ministers with highest declared assets.
He has total assets worth Rs 27.08 crore. Singh has immovable asset worth Rs 25.45 crore and movable asset worth Rs 1.63 crore.
Of all 12 ministers analysed in the current cabinet, none have declared criminal records whereas in 2014 one minister in the last cabinet had declared criminal record.
So far education is concerned, 10 ministers have educational qualification of graduation or above, except two who have declared to be class 12 pass.
The other highlight of the analysis is the age factor. While three ministers are between 31 and 50 years of age, nine fall in the age group of 51 to 80 years.
There is only one woman among all 12 ministers.
